Mrs. Patricia A. Lavicka, 56, of Old State Road, Johnstown, New York passed away Thursday, February 14, 2013 at the Albany Medical Center Hospital.

She was born October 28, 1956 in Amsterdam, New York a daughter of the late William and Adela Ahnert. She was a graduate of the former Wilbur H. Lynch High School - Class of 1974 and was a lifelong area resident, moving to Johnstown in 1985.

She was the Co-Owner of Liberty Tax Service in Johnstown and Gloversville, New York.

She enjoyed crafts, especially making stained glass lamps and memory books.She also enjoyed sewing. She was a volunteer for several years for the Johnstown Marching Band and Winter Guard. She served as past Vice-President of the Johnstown Music Support Group.

On April 14, 1985 she was united in marriage to Gary E. Lavicka who survives. Additional survivors include her daughter Lindsay Lavicka, Rochester, New York; her sisters Margaret Ann Smith (Alan), Gulfport, Mississippi, Eileen Reynolds (Joseph, III), Amsterdam, New York and Bonnie Lynn Frascatore (Dave, Jr.), Kissimmee, Florida; three aunts Josephine Ross, Jeanmarie Vollmer and Phyllis Zdanko; brother-in-law Joseph J. Lavicka (Pam); several nieces, nephews and cousins.
