Carl G. "Bunky" Agosta, Jr.

Mr. Carl G. "Bunky" Agosta, Jr., 74, of Hartman Road, Pattersonville, New York passed away peacefully at his residence Friday, January 18, 2013 surrounded by his loving family.

He was born March 29, 1938 in Amsterdam, New York a son of the late Carl G. and Lena Tagliaferro Agosta, Sr. He was a graduate of the former Wilbur H. Lynch High School - Class of 1956 and was a lifelong area resident.

Mr. Agosta was a Carpenter and was an original partner in Trim Builders. Later, he operated his own company known as Carl's Construction Company. He also worked for Dunbar Chevrolet, Hill & Markes, Baldwin Droms, Joe Greco, Leno and Dave Delzatto, Sulphur Springs Bar & Restaurant and Meadowbrook Bar & Restaurant.

He was a member of Our Lady of Mount Carmel Roman Catholic Church.He was also a member of the former Order Sons of Italy, the Southside Coffee Club and Herk's Tavern Social Club.

He enjoyed traveling, especially cruises, working outside on varoius projects and camping. He thoroughly enjoyed visiting Texas, Washington, D.C. and Myrtle Beach and the occassional casino visit.Pool time was his favorite time of year. Most of all, he loved spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren and great grandchildren.

He is survived by his wife Veronica Grzebien Agosta who he married June 21, 1958; his daughters Terri Biasini (Gary Knapik), Amsterdam and Lisa Desbiens, Ballston Spa; grandchildren Ashley (John Flint), Jason Biasini (Katie), Natalie Biasini (Jesse), Serge, Rein and Kye Desbiens; great grandchildren Tessa, Gabe and Gian Flint; his brother Gabriel Agosta (Ann), Amsterdam; sister Roseanne (Duane) Yager, Amsterdam; several nieces, nephews and cousins.

In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his sister Helen "Pudgie" Marcellino.

Relatives and friends are invited to calling hours from 8:30 a.m. until 10:30 a.m. Monday, January 21, 2013 at the Jendrzejczak Funeral Home 200 Church Street, Amsterdam, New York followed by a Funeral Mass at 11:15 a.m., with Rev. Lawrence Decker, Celebrant at Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Church, St. John Street. Burial will be in Chuctanunda Cemetery, Minaville at a later date.In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Community Hospice of Amsterdam, 246 Manny Corners Road, Amsterdam, New York 12010 or to the Montgomery County SPCA, P.O. Box 484, Amsterdam, New York 12010.
